Hyderabad, Governor, ESL Narasimhan on Friday participated in the 69thRepublic Day celebrations in Vijayawada even as Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chadrababu Naidu could not turn up from Davos after attending World Economic Forum summit.
Contrary to previous year, the Governor first participated in the Republic Day event in Hyderabad and then flew to Vijayawada for the Republic Day event. Being the head of the two Telugu States, the Governor unfurled the national flag at Secunderabad Parade Grounds in Telangana first at 9.15 am and delivered speech.
Later, the Governor took flight from Begumpet to reach Vijayawada. Narasimhan participated in the event at the Municipal grounds in Vijayawada. Nara Bhuvaneshwari hoisted the Tricolour at Chief Minister’s residence as Chandrababu Naidu was absent due to flight delay in getting back home.
