Three held for forgery of documents

Hyderabad, April 29 (PMI): The EOW officials of Cyberabad Commissionerate have busted a case of cheating by forgery of validated documents and arrested Patti Srikantha Rao, Patti Premalatha and Darshanam Shivaraj involved in the offence.

       The accused were arrested and a case was registered in Crime. No. 195/2024, under Sections 420, 406, 464, 467, 468 & 471 IPC in Narsingi PS and later transferred to EOW PS for further investigation.

According to the complainant Chilakala Srinivasa Rao of Neknampur village, Gandipet, Ranga Reddy District, accused Patti Srikantha Rao, a resident of Narsingi village, along with his wife Premalatha and Darshanam Shivaraj of Narsingi village had cheated the realtor Ch. Srinivas Rao, who runs Surya Developers to the tune of Rs.3.13 crore by promising to make register Development Agreement cum GPA for development of 30 plots in Sy.No.298 at Narsingi village, which were allotted in 1982 for establishment of poultry farms for the beneficiaries, by not registering the same.

The modus operandi is that he had made believed the complainant that in 1982 they were allotted plots in Sy.No.298 of Narsingi to establish poultry farms for their livelihood and after locking period of 10 years they could develop them into residential plots and NOCs had also been received for some of plots and NOCs were awaited for some other plots and they are the owners of such plots. By saying that they made un-registered Development Agreement cum GPA with Surya Developers, owned by the complainant for development of residential flats and Villas in 30 plots in Sy.No.298 and received amount of Rs 3.13 crore from the complainant stating that they would register the DAGPA later. But they failed to register the DAGPA (Development Agreement cum GPA) and when the complainant insisted to return his amount, the accused Patti Srikantha Rao had issued two cheques. But these two cheques were dishonored due to insufficient funds in his bank account. They had prepared a false validation documents as registered in District Registrar office, Ranga Reddy and gave it to the complainant for registration of DAGPA thereby cheated the complainant dishonestly for wrongful gain.

The case is being investigated by B. Narahari, Inspector, Economic Offences Wing, Cyberabad, under the supervision of K. Prasad, Dy. Commissioner of Police, EOW, Cyberabad. (PMI)
