Congress working to fulfill Ambedkar’s ideals : Deputy C M Bhatti Vikramarka

Khammam, April 14 (Zahid hussain- PMI): Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka said the real tribute to Dr. B.R.Ambedkar, the architect of Indian Constitution, will be for every one to follow the path to realise his ideals and thought process.

The Deputy Chief Minister paid floral tributes to portrait of Dr. Ambedkar at the  Congress party’s district office here on Sunday on the occasion of his birth anniversary.

Speaking on the occasion, Bhatti said the Congress government is following democratic rules in Telangana with the inspiration drawn from Ambedkar’s  Constitution and implementing the guarantees with an objective to make poor and middle classes live with self respect and dignity.

“Every citizen should feel fortunate that Bharat Ratna Ambedkar was born in India. As a global intellectual ad social scientist, Dr Ambedkar studied in detail Constitutions of all the countries in the world and written the best Constitution for India. If India could evolve as a democracy with strong foundation, it was thanks to the Constitution provided by Dr. Ambedkar,” the Deputy Chief Minister said.

Bhatti pointed out that the Congress party had implemented the Constitution in letter and sprit after the country gained independence inspired by Ambedkar philosophy, but some political parties were now conspiring to amend the Constitution formulated by Dr. Ambedkar.

Calling upon all democrats and  lovers of Constitution to be united for protection of Indian Constitution, the Deputy Chief Minister said that amending Constitutions is akin to assault on the democracy.

“Protection of Constitution is equal to protection of democracy. If the democracy is debunked, citizens will be in the danger of foregoing their right to speech and right to vote,” Bhatti Vikramarka said.

Stating that the Congress government in Telangana is taking measures to set the State’s financial situation destroyed by the previous BRS govt back on the right track, the Deputy Chief Minister said the State government has released pending diet bills to SC, ST, BC and minority residential schools and is also paying salaries regularly to all the employees.
