Hyderabad, May 22 (Shoukat-PMI): The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has been renamed and changed to TGSRTC following the direction from the State government to change all references to “TS” with “TG” in the nomenclature usage.
Taking to ‘X’ on Wednesday, TGSRTC Managing Director (MD) VC Sajjanar made this announcement and said that the name of the Corporation was changed to TG in all social media handles.
On the occasion, Sajjanar requested passengers to send their valuable suggestions and complaints through the revised user account and also requested to follow the Corporation’s social media accounts to know more about its services.
The Congress government, which came to power in Telangana last year, announced that it would change the name of TS to TG and also issued orders to this effect.
The proposal of the State government has been approved by the Union government recently and orders have been issued to this effect. With this, the new vehicle registrations in Telangana will be named TG. Accordingly, the name of TSRTC has been changed to TGSRTC. (PMI)
