Hyderabad, Dec.26 (PMI): TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy on Thursday demanded that the State government hold the ensuing municipal elections in a fair and proper manner. He also said they have objections to the process of finalizing the reservations and asking the contesting candidates to file nominations by giving them just two days. He also made it clear that they were raising objections not because they were scared of facing the elections but because they have doubts about the reservations.
Speaking to mediapersons here, the TPCC chief wondered if the election notification would be declared without finalizing the voters’ list. He said they were demanding that the Election Commission give adequate time between declaration of reservations and filing of nomination papers.
