Hyderabad, April 24 (PMI): State BJP president and MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar today observed 7 hour long fast demanding the state government to respond on the problems being faced by the farmers of the state. The fast was held at state BJP office.
Speaking on the occasion he alleged that the farmers of the state were not getting adequate amount of support price for their produce. He also alleged that there were no basic facilities at IKP Centers and paddy procurement Centers of the state. He alleged that the state government was encouraging brokers system and added that the officials of the state government had turned into brokers and middlemen. Kumar said that facts would come to fore if the state cabinet ministers toured in the field.
He said that the state was in such situation where the farmers of Siricilla district were forced to burn their paddy. He expressed his anger that the police were slapping cases against the farmers despite the fact that they got relaxations from the ongoing lockdown.(Press Media Of india)
