New Delhi /Hyderabad, : TRS MP K Prabhakar Reddy today criticized the Centre for failing to allocate funds in its Budget-2019 to Telangana State.
Reacting on the budget after Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented it in Parliament today, the TRS MP slammed the BJP government at the Centre for failing to allocate funds for the youngest State. “This budget presented by Nirmala Sitharaman did not make favors to any State in the country. The budget failed to give funds to flagship programs like Mission Bhagiratha, Mission Kakatiya and others of Telangana State, he charged. However, he appreciated the Central budget for announcing provision of drinking water to every household in the country by 2024. “This announcement was good and the Centre replicated our water scheme of Mission Bhagiratha”, the TRS MP claimed.
“We are implementing safe drinking water scheme in the name of Mission Bhagiratha and the Centre has changed its name and came up with a proposal to supply drinking water to all by 2024”, he added. He also said the Centre did not mention steps to resolve the bifurcation issues among two Telugu States, he said. On the whole, the Union budget failed to give any financial push to the Telangana State, he added.
