The sleuths of Ghatkesar Police arrested the 4 members on 07.01.2023 around 6 AM  at Ghatkesar bus stand who were involved in cyber stalking of women.

The details of the accused persons:-

1. Choppara Laxmi Ganesh, S/o Narayana Swamy. Age: 19 yrs Caste: Mudiraj, Occ: Labor Failed Intermediate (2020-22) Career College, Guntur n/o Korrepadu village. Vatticheruku Mandal. Guntur district,

 Meda Pradeep @ Pethuru , S/o Ramudu, age: 19 yrs , Occ: Intermediate 2^nd year failed from Guntur Hindu College in the year 2020-2022 batch. Caste: Yerukala, R/o: Srinivasa Apartments, Tadepalli, Vijayawada, N/o: Kornepadu village , Vatticherukuru Mandal, Guntur district,

4. Balam Sathish S/o Joji Babu. Age: 20yrs, Occ: Chef, Caste: SC-Madiga, Anjireddy colony, Tadepalli, Vijayawada,
5. Chavala Durga Prasad s/o Chavala Gangadhar Rao, aged 19 years occ: 2^nd year degree student Syed Appalaswamy Degree college, Vijayawada r/o YSR Colony, Vijayawada

BRIEF FACTS: 

On 04.01.2023 at 20:40hrs Sri Danda Hemanth Reddy S/o Yella Reddy, age:48yrs, Occ: Warden in VBIT college, R/o:  Aushapur (V), Ghatkesar, presented a report in PS Ghatkesar stating that  from  09th Nov-2022  students of their  college received a calls  and messages  abusing them with  filthy language  from an unknown numbers/ persons  to  their  WhatsApp and Instagram. The accused persons  also started threatening them to talk with them, shared  locations and asking the  students  to come to that place,  otherwise threatened to put their pictures on social media.   When the students blocked  the  numbers, again they started threatening  from other numbers.

Basing on the complaint registered a case and started investigation. During the investigation formed teams and collected data and analyzed same and identified accused persons.

BACKGROUND OF ACCUSED

             A-1 Laxmi Ganesh and A-2 Pradeep hail from one and the same village viz., Korrepadu village. Vatticheruku Mandal. Guntur district and classmates.   Both used to be in touch with each other over phone. Presently A-1 residing at Krishnalanka, Vijayawada while  A-2 Pradeep is residing at Tadepalli, Guntur.   A1 is a waiter and . A-3  B Satish is a Chef  worked in E3 Food Court opp: Bus stand, Vijayawada since two months.  A-4 Durgaprasad’s brother also worked in E3 Food court and through him A-4 came in contact with A-3.

MODUS OPERANDI

• A-1 while browsing Instagram and WhatsApp came across the profile the students and got their contact numbers.
• The accused No.1 in turn transmitted the same numbers to A2 to A4. They also started sending messages and tried to contact the college girls. A.1  created the three whatsapp groups and A.2 created one whatsapp group. through whatsapp groups they have been harassing the college girls by transmitting abusive and filthy language in the public domain.
• HACKING SCAM :  A1 created  whatsapp group in the name ofHacking Scam  (Ph No.XXXXX-98478 belonging to grand mother of A-2 Pradeep);
• ENTER THE DRAGON: 1 created whatsapp group in the name of Enter the Dragon (Ph No.XXXXX-33092 belonging to A1)
• XXX TEJA ROWDY: 1 created whatsapp group in the name of XXX Teja rowdy (:Ph XXXXX-88368 belonging to one Teja resident of Srikalahasthi from whom A1 took number)
• KING IS BACK : A-2 Pradeep created whatsapp group in the name of King is Back (his phone No.XXXXX-67709).

 So far in this case, several students  came forward  and they were examined. Previous history of the accused will also be ascertained by contacting other State Police as to whether the accused are involved in similar cases.

Detection of this case was done by Sri V Ashok Reddy, Inspector of Police, Ghatkesar, Sis Sri Ch Sudhakar; M Shivakrishna Murthy, D Dhanunjaya, B Ramu and Nagarjuna Reddy and staff under the leadership of Sri D S Chauhan, IPS.., Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda under the supervision of Ms Rakshitha K Murthy, IPS., Dy Commissioner of Police Malkajgiri Zone under the guidance of Sri P Naresh Reddy, Asst Commissioner of Police, Malkajgiri Division.
