Hyderabad, Jan.25 (PMI): Former DGP Mahender Reddy has been appointed as the Chairman of Telangana State Public Service Commission ( TSPSC). Mahender Reddy’s appointment was approved by Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan on Thursday. He will soon take charge as the new Chairman of TSPSC.
Similarly, Former IPS officer Anitha Rajendram, Palvai Rajani Kumar, Amir Ullah Khan , Yadaiah and Y Rammohan Rao have been appointed as the Members of the Commission.
Earlier, Janarthan Reddy was in the post of TSPSC. However, he had resigned from the post when the Congress government came to power in Telangana. During Janarthan Reddy’s tenure, TSPSC papers were leaked and the exams were postponed. The Congress government has asked all the members and Chairman of the TSPSC to resign from the posts and initiated steps for the appointment of new recruits.
After thorough examination of the applications received for the post of Chairman, the State government showed in favour of former DGP Mahender Reddy. Finally, the Governor also gave her consent the appointment of Mahender Reddy. (pressmediaofindia.com)
