Chief Secretary  Joshi performs puja at his chamber in BRKR Bhavan

Hyderabad, Aug.9 (PMI): As per the plan to shift the Secretariat, Chief Secretary SK Joshi today performed puja at his chambers getting ready in BRKR Bhavan. Considering holy Shravana Masam and Varalakshmi festival day being auspicious, the Chief Secretary broke a coconut and performed puja.
Meanwhile, the security personnel did not allow mediapersons to enter the premises when Joshi was performing puja at the BRKR Buildings. However, the scribes later went into the building to take a look at it and related works. The shifting works were speeded up from the Secretariat. Later, media called on Joshi at Secretariat and sought his version. Joshi said the shifting of offices will be speeded up. “Since Friday being auspicious as Shravana Lakshmi pujas, we have performed puja”, he said.
Several departments were shifting the offices to allotted offices outside Secretariat. The plan of the government was to build a new Secretariat on the existing premises by demolishing the structures. However, the court was hearing the cases on this. The government has plans to shift the Legislative Assembly to Errum Manzil to build a new one with all facilities. The Opposition parties moved the court, which is to deliver its verdict soon.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has directed the Chief Secretary to see that the offices are shifted at the earliest. As per KCR directive, the officials have speeded up the shifting process. (PMI)
