New Delhi : The Ministry of Minority Affairs Government of India, Under Scheme Pradhanmantri Jan Vikas Karykram , Hon’ble Union Minister for Minority Affairs Mr Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi Chaired Central Waqf Council held meeting in New Delhi along with Secretary, and members of the council.
It is decided to complete the Geographic information system Mapping #DigitalIndia for Waqf properties across the country by 2021. Under leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Mr Narendra Damodardas Modi slogan Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas & Sabka Vishwas shall ensure better utilisation of waqf properties for Socio-Economic Educational Development of the Society. It will also contain the menace of encroachment of waqf properties. State Waqf Boards have been directed to accelerate construction of Educational Institutions like Schools, Colleges, ITI, Hostels, Skill Development Centres & Sadbhav Mandap Marriage Hall , etc on waqf properties under “Pradhanmantri Jan Vikas Karykram”.
