THE HARDWORK OF HYDERABAD CITY POLICE IN THE COVID-19 SITUATION

Hyderabad City Police working 24 hours a day for the last 15 months to check Corona virus, right from the first phase which included enforcement of lock down, movement of essential commodities, help to poor and needy, providing assistance to the migrant laborers and enforcement of containment zones. ln the second phase similar activities were taken. ln this process more than 5000 police officers of Hyderabad City Police have been infected by the virus and more than 5’1 police officers have lost their lives.

The citizens of Hyderabad and majority of the stake holders have appreciated the selfless sacrifice done by the police officers of all the ranks of Hyderabad City Police. ln the last 10 days with some hidden agenda one newspaper which has perhaps, loyalty to outside Telangana has been trying to demoralize Hyderabad City Police and Telangana Police by pufting wrong and exaggerate reports. We condemn such irresponsible reporting which are baseless without any evidence.

Hyderabad City Police last week itself in a single raid recovered Gutka/Tobacco worth more than ‘1 crore. But, this news reporter who has an hidden agenda has been writing with vengeance to demotivate 20,000 police officers.

ln the year 202’l, Hyderabad City Police have registered 253 cases in which 323 persons have been arrested so far. ln this year, 17 cases have been ended in conviction. ln the last few years, all put together 1,342 cases have been booked with 2069 persons arrested. But, it is unfortunate to note that this newspaper which has a hidden agenda from outside Telangana has been failing to highlight any such good work done by Hyderabad City Police and Telangana Police

On behalf of the entire city police, the family members and all the citizens of

Hyderabad, we condemn and criticize this newspaper which works on hidden agenda with a loyalty outside Telangana.
