Three file nomination papers in Huzurnagar

Hyderabad, Sept.26 (PMI): In connection with the bye-election to the Huzurnagar Assembly constituency in Suryapet District, the Returning Officer on Thursday received two sets of nominations from Congress candidate Nalamada Padmavathi Reddy, two sets of nomination papers from Independent candidate Mekala Raghuma Reddy and one set of nomination from Gajabinkar Bansila.
Nalamada Padmavathi Reddy (INC), wife of TPCC president Uttam Kumar Reddy, went to the Tahsildar office in a procession and filed her nomination papers followed by two Independents on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the election campaigning has gained momentum in the constituency with the Congress and ruling TRS leaders flexing their muscles to clinch the seat. Both the parties were sparing no efforts to woo the electors and exuding confidence to win the seat. TRS candidate Saidi Reddy, who missed the bus last time by 7,000-vote margin was doing his best to snatch the seat this time.
The saffron party was also contemplating to put up a strong candidate to outwit both the parties. The BJP finally confirmed candidature of Keesara Srikala Reddy, who is not popular.
