New Delhi: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Wednesday successfully underwent eye operation in the national capital. It may be recalled that KCR flew down to Delhi on September 1.On Saturday, the Chief Minister called on Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitely and spoke at length over the GST reduction on irrigation projects in Telangana. It is also learnt that KCR also assured Jaitely that the land, located on city outskirts, would be handed over the Army in return for Parade grounds in Secunderabad.
From Sunday, KCR stayed put in the national capital and prepared for the eye surgery. On Wednesday morning, KCR underwent cataract surgery to his right eye. The surgery was due for a longtime and it was postponed for various reasons. Following the surgery, his son Telangana Minister K T Rama Rao tweeted saying: Hon’ble CM’s Cataract procedure on the right eye completed successfully in Delhi today. Thanks to Dr. Sachdeva.”
