Rs 70-cr for land acquisition at Yadadri: CM

Hyderabad, Feb.3 (PMI): Expressing concern over the criminal negligence of the temples in Telangana region, including Yadadri, Jogulamba and several others during previous combined Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao said his government was determined to develop Yadadri as a unique temple one and others with priority to restore past glory of Hindu traditions and culture and transform to generations to come.

Speaking to mediapersons after an aerial survey of Yadadri temple along with officials, the Chief Minister said the State government has released Rs 70 crore on Sunday towards land acquisition on North side of the temple for development works. He also said he would make another visit to Yadadri in 10 to 15 days. The State government will develop 1,100 acre temple city on the hillock and got Rs 10 crore donations for construction of Nityannadana Satram (Regular and Free distribution of Food). The temple being redeveloped as per Agama Shastra norms followed by China Jeeyar Swamy instructions. Jogulamba is one of the Shakthi Peethas that was neglected by the rulers in combined State, he said. Vaishanava Pundits from 133 nations will attend grand inauguration of the temple to have Pravachana Mantap in 50 acres. Besides Yadadri, Gandhamalla and Baswapur projects will be built, 43 donors came forward to build quarters and it was being planned to construct 350 quarters in 250 acres.
