Odisha to Old City Cannabis Smuggling’CP Rachakonda DS Chauhan IPS

Hyderabad, October 19 (PMI): Malkajigiri SOT, Keesara police caught a gang who were smuggling ganja from Odisha to old basti of Hyderabad by hiding ganja in an iron box. These details were disclosed by Rachakonda Police Commissioner DS Chauhan in a press conference on Thursday. Bahulya Lilavati alias Gangaraju, Gopal alias Mool Chand, Santhosh and Mohan Rathod of Bidar formed a gang. All of them are ready to supply ganja from Odisha to old basti of Hyderabad. Gangaraju’s team spoke to Pedda Baburao and his friend Maddela Ramesh from Nachara in Hyderabad. They decided to supply ganja from Odisha to Hyderabad, and for this purpose, they decided to take a goods carrier and pack the ganja in iron boxes and transport it so that no one gets caught.

As part of this, Mohan Rathod, Pedda Baburao and Middela Ramesh traveled from Odisha to Hyderabad in a goods carrier auto. Gopal and Santhosh are coming as pilots for them. As soon as they reached Keesara police station, teams of Malkajigiri SOT Inspector Ramulu and Keesara Inspector Venkaiah stopped the vehicle of Ashok Leyland Dost Goods and inspected it. Canisters of marijuana hidden in iron boxes were found. Mohan Rathore, Baburao and Maddela Ramesh were arrested. Those who were coming as pilots ran away from the police. 430 kg of ganja was seized from this gang. Its value is Rs. CP said it will be 1.1 crores. Malkajigiri DCP Janaki, SOT DCP Giridhar and other officials participated in this meeting.

At ORR

Hayatnagar police have caught a gang smuggling ganja from AP via Delhi via Hyderabad. Rachakonda Police Commissioner DS Chauhan explained these details to the media on Thursday. Nukaraju from Visakhapatnam district, Akkabatula Laxman Kumar and Ganta Srinu Babu are supplying ganja to Maharashtra and Delhi from Alluri Seetharamaraju district in AP. The tanker lorry at Nukaraju is being used to transport ganja. Both will be given one lakh rupees for each trip. On the 18th of this month, Nukaraju called the two and instructed them to fill a lorry with ganja at Polavaram and hand it over to Delhi. So Laxman and Srinu took a lorry and left to go to Delhi via Khammam, Suryapet and Hyderabad. In this order, upon reaching Peddambarpet ORR, Hayatnagar police stopped the lorry and conducted checks based on reliable information. 200 kg of ganja was seized from it. A lorry was also seized along with marijuana. Both have been arrested and the hunt is on for the mastermind Nukaraju. Ganja worth Rs. CP said that it will be 60.10 lakhs. LBnagar DCP Sai Sri, Vanasthalipuram ACP Bhim Reddy and others participated in this meeting.
