Hyderabad, April 2 ( Shoukat-PMI): Today, on a tip-off, the Commissioners Taskforce, East Zone Team along with Begum Bazaar Police, busted a fake Indian Currency notes circulation gang of six members seized Rs 36,35,500/- worth fake Indian currency notes, printing material, net cash of Rs 28,000/-, eight cell phones and one Bajaj Platina Bike at their instance.
According to S. Rashmi Perumal, IPS, Dy Commissioner of Police, Commissioner’s Taskforce, Hyderabad, the kingpin of the gang led by Pabbati Murali Krishna of Guntur was earlier arrested by PS Kavali Rural, Indukurpet, and Tenali Rural in printing and circulating the fake Indian currency notes and three cases were booked against him and others. Later in November last year, he came into contact with one Khader Maideen of Patanchervu, a native of Tamil Nadu engaged in household articles instalment business. The accused Pabbati Murali Krishna colluded with Kadar Maideen and started printing of fake Indian Currency at a rented room at Patancheru, Sangareddy District.
Pabbati Murali Krishna procured the equipment i.e., computer, colour printer, milk white paper, iron box, green shining label and so on and started printing and circulating the fake currency through Khader Maideen, who approached Hitesh.
Acting on the tip-off, the Commissioners Taskforce, East Zone Team of Hyderabad City along with Begum Bazaar Police apprehended six accused at Feelkhana, Begum Bazaar, who were indulged in circulating FICN notes in the open market.
The DCP MS.S. RASHMI PERUMAL IPS appealed to the general public to see the visible identification marks on Rs 500/- denomination which was issued by Reserve Bank of India. She advised the public to report before the Police or bank authority whenever they receive fake Indian Currency notes in the Market.
The accused along with seized property were handed over to SHO Begumbazaar PS. The arrests were made under the supervision of Ande Srinivasa Rao, Addl. Dy. Commissioner of Police, Commissioners Taskforce, Hyderabad, A. Nagarjuna, Inspector of Police, East Zone Taskforce, SK. Kaviuddin, S. Karunakar Reddy, P. Nagaraju, Sub-Inspectors of East Zone Taskforce along with East Zone Taskforce Team. (PMI)
