Condemns arrest of Prof. Kodandaram

Hyderabad,  Congress MLA from Alampur SA Sampath Kumar today condemned the arrest of Telangana JAC Chairman Prof. M Kodandaram.

Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here, Sampath Kumar said they held a review meeting on how to attract voters from Booth Committee member to AICC member as part of Leadership Development Machine. He also alleged that the State government was violating the rules and regulations in appointments and promotions. The government was giving promotions keeping political interests in mind, he said and demanded that the government give promotions and appointments keeping reservations in mind.

Sampath Kumar alleged that the State government has thrown a G.O. issued by Social Welfare Department and Article 17 in the dustbin. He warned that they will not keep quiet if a single dalit official meted out injustice. He said he has already addressed a letter to DGP Anurag Sharma in this regard. Stating that the government was not following rule of reservations and roaster system, Sampath said the SCs, STs and BCs were facing hardships due to non-implementation of rule of reservations. He also said the government was not caring G.O.M.S.No.2,5,8 issued in 2002 and given promotions to 109 CIs as DSPs and Sis as CIs.
