Bus Conductor In Trouble For Facebook Post, WhatsApp Message On CM KCR

Hyderabad: Taking cue from its Andhra Pradesh counterpart, the Telangana government too has decided to act tough on social media activism and those slamming the State Government’s policies are being targeted.
In a fresh incident, a TSRTC bus conductor, identified as D Sanjeev, was served a notice by the Nizamabad Depot manager for allegedly criticising Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and the TSRTC management. The Depot Manager also sought the Vigilance and security officer of Karimnagar zone to take action against Sanjeev for the latter’s social media posts.
Sanjeev, who is attached to Nizamabad Depot -1, had posted a WhatsApp message, which, the complainant said, was derogatory and objectionable. Later, it was circulated among Sanjeev’s friends. RTC unions have meanwhile slammed the restrictions and extended support to Sanjeev.
