MP Kavitha turns Telugu Teacher at WTC

Hyderabad,  Nizamabad MP Kavitha today turned a Teacher at a literary program of World Telugu Conference organized at Ravindra Bharathi here.

Like her father Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, Kavitha took the participants by surprise by easily explaining about history of literature and poetry and works done by the noted poets, literary exponents. To her credit, she published several books on them and wanted to preserve them for future generations in the Telangana State.

In the presence of NRIs, Kavitha gave a presentation for 30 minutes on the grand history of Telugu literature and contributions made by stalwarts and prominent poets on the occasion. Exhorting the gathering to introspect on the Telugu literature, Kavitha said it has spread its tentacles now after a long gap. “Like a Lion that woke up and made three steps forward and looked back for a while, we have to introspect to protect and develop our language”, she said .and explained about old Telugu and Telangana literature till date citing examples briefly. Those present at the auditorium raised their eye-brows at Kavitha’s presentation.

            Kavitha said writing of poetry and literature started in Telangana even before legendary poet Nannayya’s period. To develop Telugu, the State government made Telugu compulsory from Class I to XII, she said. She said Telangana Jagruthi will publish the works of Telangana poets and distribute them to 450 foreigners, who came from 42 nations to attend the event.
