CP holds coordination meeting to discuss arrangements for Bakrid festival

Hyderabad, Aug.2 (PMI): An Inter-departmental coordination meeting was conducted by City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar, IPS, regarding the arrangements for forthcoming Bakr-Eid festival.
Apart from senior police officers, senior officers of Transport Department, GHMC and Animal Husbandary Department attended the meeting. The CP said all necessary arrangements were being made to ensure peaceful conduct of the festival. He also said round-the-clock check posts will start functioning soon at all the entry points to City and in between. A Control Room will also be set up for inter-Departmental Co-ordination to ensure prompt response, even in night time. It was emphasized that all necessary steps will be taken to ensure strict implementation of the law. Anyone having, any issue/grievance or complaint should inform the police by simply dialling DIAL 100.
He also clarified that implementation of the law and checking for the same is the responsibility of the police and no other individual or group should take the law into their hands. Police will be on the lookout for such individuals trying to unnecessarily disrupt the harmony and tranquility in the City, he warned. If anyone tries to take the Law into their hands or resorts to any unlawful activities, a serious and swift legal action will be taken against them, he said. (PMI)
