After over extensive TPCC meeting at Gandhi Bhavan here on Monday, speaking with media persons the TPCC chief slammed the TRS government for handcuffing farmers in Khammam and resorting to third degree methods on Daliths in Sircilla District. He alleged that human rights were being trampled in the TRS government. Alleging that police were torturing Dalits in Nerella village in Sircilla at the instance of IT Minister, he asked why KTR was showing special love towards the sand mafia?
The TPCC has demanded that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao tender public apology and remove KTR from his Cabinet. He also demanded that KTR resign from the cabinet owning responsibility over Nerella incident. There were also no action against the erring police men responsible for the incident, he said, adding that Dalits, BCs, Minorities and tribal people were being subjected to injustice in Telangana.
Condemning attack on Dalits, Uttam said his party would stage dharnas from July 26 at district head quarters. On July 31, they would stage protest in Sircilla town against police using third degree methods on Dalits in Nerella.
