Hyderabad May 25(PMI)The sleuths of Commissioner’s Task Force, South Zone Team, Hyderabad along with Bahadurpura Police along with Drug Inspectornabbed two persons who areillegally procuring and selling Remdesivir injections (Desrem) Antiviral medicine for Covid-19, in black market to needy customers for amount of Rs.15,000/- to Rs. 20,000/- each, without any valid documents and making quick money.Total seized (18) Remdesivir injections from the possession of accused.
Details of accused:-
1) Salman Raju, Age:27 years, R/o KPHB, Cyberabad,
2) Aravind, Age 29 years, R/o Hi-tech City, Madhapur, Cyberabad.
3) Shiva Shankar R/o Attapur, Cyberabad.(Absconding)
BRIEF FACTS:-
The accused Aravind native of Guntur.He is in Medical field since 2years.and Salman Raj working as Nursing staff in Sia hospital, Kukatpally. Due to Covid-19 pandemic situation they observed demand for Remdesivir (DESREM) injections which are being used for Antiviral medicine for Covid-19 patients.
As such saidAravind hatched a plan to procure Remdesivir injections in low price through known sources and sell to same in black market on high price (Rs. 20,000/- per injection) for illegal gain. For that, he procured Remdesivir injections form one person by name Shiva Shankar with a minimum prise and informed to Salman Rajregarding availability of injections and requested for customers.In this process accused Aravind started supplying Remdesivir injections to accused Salman Raj and subsequently Salman is selling the same Remdesivir injections for Rs. 20,000/- to needy customers and earning easy money.
On 24-05-2021 basing on credible information the Commissioner’s Task Force, South Zone team along with Bahadurpurapolice apprehended Salman Raj and Aravind and seized (18) Remdesivir 100Mg/20ml (DESREM) injections from their possession.
The arrested accused and seized material handed over to SHO Bahadurpurapolice for further investigation.
