on credible information, the sleuths of Special Operations Team (SOT), Malkajgiri Zone team along with Jawahar Nagar police apprehended accused persons viz., 1) Onteddhu Venkatesh, 2) Kaveti Sai Teja and (10) consumers with illegal possession of (1.05) Kgs of Ganja and selling the same to the needy customers and gaining easy money illegally.

1. NO. 1236/2022 U/S. 8 (c) r/w 20 (b) (ii) (b) of NDPS Act of JAWAHAR NAGAR PS RACHAKONDA POLICE COMMISSIONERATE.

 The details of the accused persons:-

Onteddhu Venkatesh S/o. Durgaiag, age: 20 yrs, Occ. Electrician, R/o. BJR Nagar, Jawahar Nagar. (Peddler). (Previously he was arrested by Secunderabad Excise Police vide Cr. No 21/2022 U/s. 8 (c) r/w 20 (b) (ii)(B) 27 & 29 of NDPS act 1985 & also Involved in more than 20 HB by night cases in AP & Telangana.

Brief Facts:-

The accused persons are having acquittance with each other and addicted to Ganja. The A1 Onteddhu Venkatesh is a potential property offender, previously he was arrested by Secunderabad Excise Police vide Cr. No 21/2022 U/s. 8 (c) r/w 20 (b) (ii)(B) 27 & 29 of NDPS act 1985 & also Involved in more than (20) HB by Night cases in Andhra Pradesh & Telangana States. After releasing from jail, he didn’t mend his activities and started procuring ganja and selling the same to needy and gaining easy money. . The A1 associated with his known person i.e., A2) Kaveti Sai Teja,  and decided to procure ganja illegally from his known persons A13 Uday & A14 Laddu and sell them to the needy for making huge and easy money with in no time.

As a proactive measure to curb the durg menace, yesterday i.e., on 17.12.2022 at evening hours nreliable information Police apprehended A1 to A12 at Gabbilalpet, Ambedkar Nagar, while they were illegal possession of Ganja and consuming the same, seized contraband Ganja 1.05 KGs from their possession.

Appeal to the general public:

In recent times we have seen several youth/students are addicted to Ganja / Drugs, engaged in crimeand other anti-social activities. Several families have become victims of this menace.Itisanardentrequestfrom Rachakonda City Police to the youth / students not to fall prey to drugs and request the parents to keep a watch on the activities of their children and feel free to approach police or pass information to Police to curtail such anti-social activities and strive for Drug free city.

Ramulu, Inspector of Police, SOT, Malkajgiri Zone and Police Personnel of SOT Malkajgiri, LB Nagar, Bhongir Teams,  and Jawahar Nagar PS of Rachakonda.
