Traffic review meeting held at Cyberabad CPO

Key Points Discussed During the Meeting:

Hyderabad, Nov.23 (PMI): Cyberabad Police conducted a Traffic Review Meeting today at the Cyberabad CP Office Mini Conference Hall. The meeting was chaired by Jt. CP (Traffic), D. Joel Davis, IPS, who discussed ongoing efforts and strategies to streamline traffic flow and enforce traffic regulations across the Cyberabad jurisdiction.

          As part of the review, the Jt CP emphasized the need to hold review meetings with two traffic divisions every month to monitor and evaluate traffic conditions effectively. Through discussions with Divisional ACPs and Inspectors, he analyzed areas with high traffic density, identified traffic hotspots, and assessed daily traffic patterns, including peak and non-peak hours.

          Key Points discussed during the meeting are: Special drive to identify and penalize vehicles with irregular number plates; Road widening works and completion of patchworks to ensure smooth traffic flow; installation of digital boards at key locations for enhanced traffic management; Removal and relocation of obstructive electrical poles; Steps to remove road encroachments affecting traffic movement; Deployment of additional police personnel for effective traffic regulation; Clearing pending traffic challans through focused enforcement; Strict action against drunk and drive cases; Drives targeting license violations; Increased vigilance on wrong-side driving; Enforcement of helmet use among riders; Booking violators of pollution control norms; Removal of unnecessary barricades causing traffic obstructions; Analysis and strategies to address top 10 traffic violations; Identifying and resolving traffic hotspots and unauthorized parking areas; Rectification of waterlogging points to prevent disruptions; Steps to reduce accidents at black spots and high-incident stretches; Identified locations for PTZ camera installations to enhance surveillance; Review and preventive measures for ORR and yearly accident trends; Actions against monsoon-related traffic obstructions; Deployment of traffic marshals in high-traffic zones.

 

          The meeting was attended by Medchal Traffic ADCP Veranna, Madhapur Traffic ACP K. Satyanarayana, Rajendranagar Traffic ACP A. Balaji, Kukatpally Traffic ACP K. Venkataiah, Balanagar Traffic ACP S. Srinivasulu, Medchal Traffic ACP K. Venkata Reddy along with Traffic Inspectors and other officials. (PMI)
