Traffic Regulation For Bakrid Prayers In City

Hyderabad : City Police Commissioner M. Mahendar Reddy, IPS, today notified traffic restrictions and diversions to ensure proper control and regulation of vehicular traffic in connection with Id-ul-zuha (Bakrid) prayers on September 2 at the Mir Alam Tank Idgah and Balamrai Idgah, Secunderabad Idgah

At Mir Alam Tank Idgah, all the vehicular traffic proceeding towards Idgah Mir Alam Tank for prayers will be allowed via Puranapool, Kamatipura, Kishanbagh and Bahadurpura crossroads from  8 am to 9.30 am. However, the general traffic will not be allowed to proceed towards Idgah road and will be diverted at Bahadurpura crossroad, either towards Kishanbagh or Kamatipura from 8 am to 11 am., i.e., from commencement of prayer till dispersal of congregation after prayers.

All vehicular traffic coming from Shivrampally, NPA towards Idgah Mir Alam Tank for prayers will be allowed till 9.30 am. However, the general traffic proceeding towards Bahadurpura crossroads will be diverted at Danamma Huts “T” Junction towards Aliabad Via Ansari road, Jahanuma boys town school from 8 am to 11 am i.e., from commencement of prayer till dispersal of congregation after prayers.

Cycle-rickshaws and cycles will not be allowed to proceed to the Idgah from the Idgah crossroads. They should be parked at the open space where stands are being provided. The general traffic from Puranapool and proceeding towards Siva Temple, Puranapool will be diverted towards City College till the entire congregation disperses from Idgah after prayers.

Balamrai  Idgah, Secunderabad

The general traffic coming from CTO will not be permitted towards Classic Garden road, Idgah and will be diverted from Rajiv Gandhi statue towards Lee Royal Palace junction and Balamrai Checkpost from9 am to 11.30 am. Similarly, the general traffic coming from Anna Nagar will not be permitted towards Classic Garden/Idgah and will be allowed towards Balamrai Checkpost and further from 9 am to 11.30 am.
