Six nabbed in Ranigunj for trying to sell pistol

Hyderabad, Dec.27 (PMI): On a tip-off, Taskforce personnel today nabbed six persons, who were found in possession of a pistol at Ranigunj and recovered the weapon along with three live cartridges.

            All the accused identified as Hussain Gyas Mohammed Khan, 18, Auto driver of Pune, P. Prakash, 21, of Mallapur, J. Mohan, 23, of Kismathpur, Rajendra Nagar, Narender Chowdary, 26, owner of Ajay Jewelers, Parigi, Nemichand, 28, a working in “Siddi Vinayak Silver”, Pot market, Secunderabad and residing at Ranigunj, Ganpat Jatt, 21, working with “Vishwanath Jewelers”, Pot Market, residing at Ranigunj, assembled at Shivaji Nagar, Ranigunj and were discussing about selling the pistol and three rounds to prospective customers when the sleuths raided the spot and seized the pistol and cartridges from their possession and they were sent to Market police station for prosecution.

            Police said accused Hussain Gyas Mohammed Khan hatched a plan to sell country-made fire arms and went to Bihar three months back and purchased one pistol and three live rounds from one Uday Pandey alias Pandit there. Later he told Prakash about the pistol and three live rounds and asked him to bring prospective e customers to buy it. Prakash brought the pistol from Pune and gave it to J. Mohan at Hyderabad. In his turn, Mohan informed his friend Narender Chowdary and asked him to bring customers.

Later, Narender Chowdary gave the weapon along with three live rounds to Nemi Chand to find customers to purchase it. Accordingly, Nemi Chand took and kept them his room at Ranigunj and showed it to Ganpat Jatt for disposal.  (PMI)
