Hyderabad, (Newslines): With the speculation of simultaneous Look Sabha and State Assembly elections and proposed early elections in Telangana State, the probability of ruling Telangana Rashtriya Samithi (TRS) clinging on to power looks bright.
In Telangana State there are four major players comprising of two national parties Indian National Congress (INC) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) while two regional parties Telangana Rastriya Samithi (TRS) and Telugu Desam Party. Apart from this All India Majlis Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) calming to increase their seats in forthcoming Assembly elections and their solid hold on Muslim minority votes will play an important role in the formation of Government in Telangana State.
There are some speculations that Chief Minister Sri K. Chandrashekhar Rao can any time announced early Assembly Elections in Telangana State. Sri K. T. Rama Rao Minister for Municipal Corporation urged the print and electronic media to restrain from printing, broadcasting and raising questions regarding early Elections in Telangana State as it will trigger of speculation. He asked to wait for four to ten days for everything to be clear and then he will able to reply to all questions.
The Muslim votes of the Telangana State will be a king maker in the upcoming Assembly elections and those who gets more and more votes of Muslim’s will be in position to win the large number of seats and get majority to form the Government. The BJP is trying to get the confidence of Muslims and their votes in the name of women issues by going to introduce a Law to stop “Halala and Number of Marriages (Kasrat-e- Azwaj)” while it has already introduced and formed Triple Talaq Law. These issues will not attract Muslim voters as majority of them consider them as direct interference in Shariat-e- Mohammadisaws (Mohammadan Law). On the other hand the Owaisi brothers Asaduddin Owaisi and Akbaruddin Owaisi have a strong politico-religious grip over the Muslims in the State. This has been seen in the past decades where Indira Gandhi “Laher” and other issues could not make any effect on Muslim voters of Telangana State particularly in twin Cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad.
The casting of Muslims votes will get priority to whom AIMIM party president extended his co-operation and endorse the party or candidate in the absence of AIMIM candidate.
The TRS party supremo KCR has been capitalizing the Muslim votes before formation of his government and later when he came into power he had introduces welfare schemes for Muslims like “Shadi Mubarak and honorary aid for Ayemma-e-Karam and Moazzan”, apart from this he had strong support of President of AIMIM party from the beginning of the first Government formed in Telangana State by TRS after bifurcation. The AIMIM president Mr Asaduddin Owasi in his speeches and TV Debates never speak in support of Congress party or his Party President Sri Rahul Ghandhi, so it is clear that the followers of AIMIM and Muslim voters who are impressed and happy with the welfare schemes introduced by Hon’ble Chief Minister KCR will cast their votes in favor of TRS Party in the upcoming Election. These are two strong things on which Chief Minister KCR is claiming to win the 100 seats with the help of Muslim voters in the coming Assembly Elections.
Apart from this TRS Government provided Electric Power Supply without interruption in summer season in his tenure. Chief Minister KCR is now making all efforts to make sure Hindu community votes should not be divide by the other political parties for which he has included the priests and other staffs of Temples in government worker category and they will be paid accordingly and now announced free power supply up to 101 units for SCs and STs.
As per the present political scenario in the state, BJP forming a Government in Telangana State looks remote, no doubt that BJP President Sri Amit Shah is making his immense efforts to bring the party in a strong position but it will take time. While it looks like it will be a direct contest is between ruling TRS and Congress, other two political parties BJP and TDP can only divide the votes and play a role to decrease the number of seats of the other two parties.
The Congress party who has also gain the confidence of Muslim voters all over India in the past decades has now lost their Muslim Vote Bank in various states of Country due to regional parties getting success in gaining the Muslim Voters confidence and cast their votes in regional party’s favor.
