Hyderabad, April 21 (PMI): GHMC Mayor G. Vijayalaxmi today called upon the Corporators from the city to take part in the ongoing swachh Hyderabad activities for two hours every day in their respective wards. The program was launched by the Chief Minister of the State KCR. She said that the corporators should take part in the activities for one week from 6 am in the morning to 8 am in the morning.
She said that the corporation had taken up a massive sanitation drive to remove garbage and their transportation for the last three days as per the instructions of the state municipal administration and urban development minister and added that the Corporators should take part in the activities and ensure that spraying of sodium hypochlorite chemical and garbage removal were done in their divisions.
She urged the corporators to create awareness among the residents of their division to throw their garbage in the swachh auto rikshaws of the corporation. She said that it was the need of the hour for all the public representatives of the corporation to play an important role in the prevention of the virus. She asked them to coordinate with the deputy commissioners medical officers and sanitation staff of their divisions as part of their drive. (PMI)
