Kishan Reddy Urges Public Representatives To Avail Covid 19 Treatment At Govt Hospitals

Hyderabad, July 12 (PMI): Union Minister of State for home affairs G.Kishan Reddy today urged the public representatives, who have been affected by COVID- 19 virus to avail treatment at government hospitals of the state instead of approaching the private hospitals.

Addressing media persons after visiting Gandhi Hospital, Reddy said asked the state government to also open Gachibowli based Union minister Kishan Reddy urges public representatives to avail COVID-19 treatment at Govt hospitals, Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (TIMS) at the earliest to treat the COVID-19 patients. He made it clear that the onus of increasing faith in the government hospitals lied on the shoulders of the state government. Reddy alleged that the state was performing less tests in the state when compared to the other states of the country.

He said that more number of corona cases were being reported from Hyderabad after Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai metropolitan cities of the country. Talking about the help extended by the central government to the state in its fight against the COVID-19 virus, he said that they had given 600 ventilators to the state. He said that 250 ventilators were lying idle in the Gandhi hospital. Reddy said that he came to the Gandhi Hospital to instil confidence among the COVID-19 virus patients. While referring to the exorbitant fee being charged by the private and corporate hospitals of the state, He said that it was the responsibility of the state government to regulate the illegal activities of the private hospitals of the State.

He demanded the state government to increase the salaries of the outsourced employees of the Gandhi hospital. Reddy interacted with the corona virus positive patients at the hospital. The Gandhi Hospital superintendent Dr.Raja Rao explained in detail the treatment extended by them to the patients.
