GAZA STRIP: Gaza’s civil defence says 12 Palestinians have been killed in two Israeli attacks on Gaza City after Israeli bombardment leaves at least 28 dead across the Gaza Strip on Thursday.

Video captures Israeli soldiers pushing bodies off a roof as Israeli raid leaves five Palestinians dead in Qabatiya in the occupied West Bank. The Israeli army says it is investigating.

Israel and Hezbollah trade cross-border fire as people in Lebanon ditch electronic devices after explosions kill 37 people and wound nearly 3,000.

At least 41,272 people have been killed and 95,551 wounded in Israel’s war on Gaza. In Israel, the number of those killed in the Hamas-led attacks on October 7 was at least 1,139 while more than 200 people were taken captive.

Footage has emerged from the occupied West Bank town of Qabatiya showing Israeli soldiers pushing dead bodies off a roof following a raid on Thursday that killed at least five Palestinians.

“This is a serious incident that is not in line with [Israeli military] values and what is expected of (Israeli military) soldiers,” the Israeli military said in a statement.

The Israeli military claims it killed four Palestinian gunmen during the clashes, while it carried out a drone strike against several more alleged gunmen in a car.

The Israeli military also opened fire on a group of journalists filming the incursion from a nearby building.

Mustafa Barghouti, the secretary-general of the Palestinian National Initiative, told media that footage of Israeli soldiers throwing Palestinians from a roof in the occupied West Bank “shows absolutely savage and inhuman behavior”.

Barghouti added he wasn’t sure if the soldiers had checked if the people they threw from the roof “were still alive or not”.

“You cannot say that this is a part of the war because there is no war in the West Bank,” he said. “There is war from one side, military actions from one side on a civilian population.”

The Wafa news agency reports several deadly attacks across the Gaza Strip in recent hours.

Two people were killed after Israeli fighter jets bombed the eastern section of the town of al-Qarara, north of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.

Two men were also killed after Israeli forces “targeted” a vehicle near the al-Quds Open University at the entrance to the Maghazi camp in central Gaza.

The death toll for an Israeli military attack on a home in the Daraj neighborhood of Gaza City, northern Gaza, has also risen to seven, Wafa reports. Earlier, we reported that at least two women were among the dead following the strike on the al-Sheikh family home.

We will bring you further information on these attacks when we have it.

Hezbollah has carried out at least 17 attacks across the border into northern Israel, targeting various military posts. The latest statement by the group claims these attacks will continue, most likely into Friday morning.

On the Israeli side, at least 70 Israeli air strikes have hit various Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon.

While this continues along the border in the south, a much-anticipated speech by Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah is being viewed here as something that people were expecting more from.

The secretary-general did not lay out a clear vision as to how the group would respond to the so-called act of terrorism carried out by Israel, when electronic devices exploded across Lebanon, injuring thousands of people. (Int’l News Desk)
