Govt takes eloborate steps to strengthen health sector : Harish Rao

Hyderabad, Nov.11 (PMI): Minister for Health T Harish Rao said Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is taking eloborate steps to strengthen the health sector in Telangana.

Speaking to the media after inaugurating the Health Monitoring Hub at the office of Director of Public Health here on Friday, Minister Harish Rao said the CC cameras have sofar been installed at 887 public health centres across the State and all cameras are being monitored from the State headquarters by the higher officials.

With the help of cameras, the emergency cases are monitored by sitting in Hyderabad and the advices are given to doctors and nurses working in the PHCs to minimize the complication of cases and to save lives, Harish Rao said.

Stating that the appointment process of 969 doctors has been delayed due to the recent Munugodu by-election, the Minister said that its process would be completed in next 10 days and the appointment orders would be handed over to the selected doctors.

He also informed that the State government is planning to start the recruitment drive of another 1,569 posts for the Palle Dawakanas   soon. (PMI)
