Hyderabad, Sept.11 : The State Government has declared a General Holiday on September 12 in view of the Ganesh Nimajjanam (immersion) in Hyderabad–Secunderabad, Ranga Reddy and Medchal-Malkajgiri districts. All the government offices, schools, colleges in these districts will remain closed on Thursday.
In order to make up for the loss of one working day, the government offices will work on September 14 (second Saturday), a government statement said on Wednesday. Huge processions will be taken out from across the city to the Hussainsagar and other lakes in the city to immerse the idols after 11 days of festivities.
