Hyderbad; 27 Oct 2023 ( PMI ): It is observed that some persons are posting abusive, objectionable, sexually explicit content and insulting content with morphed videos against a Girl which has been trending in Twitter recent times, some Handles also seen selling the alleged Video. Such acts of them attract various penal sections under IPC and Information Technology Act.
Based on a complaint received to SHE Team Twitter Handle regarding tagging different twitter handles, posting abusive images and messages of morphed images and videos of a girl, demanding to deposit money of Rs 50/- and share the screen shots of the transaction to his Whatsapp number to share the abusive video, a case was registered against him at Cyber Crime PS, Hyderabad U/Sec 67(A), 67 IT Act and U/Sec 509 IPC, on 25-10-2023 and taken up investigation.
After investigation, the accused person by name Bhukya Ramesh, handler of Twitter account@MbRamesh_4005 who has been selling the video for Rs 50/- was arrested and sent to Judicial Remand today.
Hence all the owners/Handlers of Twitter accounts are hereby warned not to indulge in any type of suchTweets/posts, which are outrageous, abusive and indecent to the modesty of women in general and the Individual in specific. Necessary Penal action will be initiated against all such handles. ( PMI )
