Congress urges EC to ban exit polls on Nagarjuna Sagar by-elections election results

Hyderabad, April 29 (PMI): Congress party today urged the Election Commission of India to ban exit poll on the probable candidate result in Nagarjuna Sagar Assembly Constituency by-elections. It wish that the exit polls should be banned as the state was going to witness municipal elections on Friday.
TPCC election coordination committee Convenor G.Niranjan wrote a letter on the issue to the central election commission and told the commission  that it had given permission for the telecast of the exit polls from 7 pm onwards  on Thursday. He said that it was illegal to telecast the exist polls a day before the municipal elections in then state. He said that they had also spoken to the election commission officials over phone and made the same plea. (PMI)
