Chief Secretary S K Joshi

Hyderabad, Dec.27 (Press Media Of India): Chief Secretary S K Joshi on Thursday instructed the District Collectors to send in three days to the e-seva Commissioner the details of 57-year-olds to 64 years people by getting the data from the voters list published on last November 19.
Addressing a video conference from Secretariat here along with other officials, SK Joshi discussed on the issues like sanction of pensions, construction of individual toilets, national highways, railways land acquisition and survey of forest lands. The Chief Secretary sought a special plan of action from the Collectors for providing pensions to 57-year- old to 64-year-old persons from April next year as directed by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao. “Prepare the list of the new pensioners with accurate data and forward it to the officials concerned without any delay and hold village meetings to resolve the complaints and list district-wise beneficiaries of pensioners.
On Swatch Bharath, Joshi asked the Collectors to speed up construction of toilets in the villages, release funds for individuals as the Swatch Sarvekshan teams will visit the districts. Village panchayats are likely to get funds and speed up the toilets construction in Anganwadis and schools and upload the data. Strictly follow guidelines for holding panchayat polls with equipment as details sent with regard to SC, ST and BC and women reservations of sarpanches and ward members in panchayats, he said, adding that priority should be given to sportspersons and ex servicemen for quota to fill panchayat secretaries and categorize with ranks and marks. Speed up the process of national highways and railway land acquisition as the Chief Minister is keen.
For national highways development land acquisition should be completed by February 2019 in Khammam, Mahbubnagar, Jagitial, Suryapet, Karimnagar, Jogulamba Gadwal, Kamareddy, Ranga Reddy, Sangareddy, Medak and Mancherial districts. The Collectors of  Khammam and Bhadradri Kothagudem districts were asked to speed up the land acquisition process for Bhadrachalam-Sathupally railway line.
Special task force teams of surveyors will be reaching the districts for forest lands’ survey. There is a need for reconciling 22 lakh acres of forest lands as Jayashanknar Bhupalapally, Nagarkurnool, Komurambheem-Asifabad, Mahabubabad and Adilabad districts have more forest land. Since identified lands are classified with different names, the officials have to record them as the forest lands in the Revenue records. The Revenue department has issued special guidelines on forest lands’ survey and 212 new surveyors under training will soon join the surveyors already working in the districts for the purpose.  (PMI)
