BRS activists celebrate KCR’s birthday on grand scale

Hyderabad, Feb.17 (PMI): The rank and file of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi celebrated the 69th birthday of its founder president and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on the grand scale across the Telangana State on Friday.

BRS leaders, including Ministers, MPs, MLAs, MLCs and other elected representatives organised various programmes and offered prayers at temples, mosques and churches, praying God to provide good health and strength to the Chief Minister. They conducted blood donation camps, distributed free food in slum areas, fruits to patients in hospitals and tricycles to physically handicapped persons across the State.

At Balkampet temple here, MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha performed a Rajasyamala puja and presented Gold ornaments to the Goddess to mark the occasion of KCR’s birthday.

Under the leadership of Minister for Animal Husbandry Talasani Srinivas Yadav, the Chief Minister’s birthday celebrations were organised on the grand scale at Thril City on PV Marg here. Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukender Reddy, Council Deputy Chairman Banda Prakash Mudiraj, Ministers Mohmood Ali, Satyavathi Rathod and Gangula Kamalakar, Rajya Sabha Member Keshav Rao cut a 69 kg of cake and launched the celebrations, including the conduct of cultural programmes. A documentary on the life of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was displayed to mark the occasion.

Meanwhile, MP Santosh Kumar along with Minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy, MLC Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, MLA Jeevan Reddy and other leaders planted a sapling at the Chief Minister’s farm house at Erravalli village in Gajwel Assembly constituency while Aleru MLA Gongidi Sunitha offered special prayers at Sri Laxmi Narasimha Swamy temple at Yadagirigutta in Yadadri Bhongir district.

Similarly, BRS State youth leader Aravind Alishetty extended his birthday wishes to KCR in an innovative way by using paragliders over the Ranganayaka Sagar Reservoir of Siddipet district. Sporting “Ab ki bar kisan sarkar” and “Happy Birthday KCR Sir”, the colourful paragliders flew around the Ranganayaka Sagar in Siddipet, catching the attention of passersby.

On the other hand, farmers from Wanaparthy made a huge portrait of the Chief Minister using groundnut, horsegram and salt colours at Market yard in the district and expressed their love towards KCR.

Meanwhile, wishes poured in from across the country for Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was among those who extended his wishes to the Chief Minister. “Birthday greetings to Telangana Chief Minister Shri K Chandrashekhar Rao garu. I pray for his long life and good health,” Modi tweeted.

Similarly, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, Delhi Chief Minister Aravind Kejriwal, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, Assam Chief Minister Hemanta Biswa, Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan, former vice-president Venkaiah Naidu, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and film actor Chiranjeevi and other celebrities extended their birthday wishes to KCR.

Cutting across sections, people, including farmers, employees, religious heads and students, celebrated the Chief Minister’s birthday on a grand note in Telangana. (PMI)
