Hyderabad, : Medchal Co-operative Society District Registrar, Chandra Kiran and Assistant Registrar Damodar, were caught red-handed by the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) when they allegedly demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs.20,000 from one Bhoomi Reddy, president of Sainath Society, Bahadurpally.
According to ACB- DSP Suryanarayana, the accused have demanded Rs.50,000 in connection with a land dispute. Bhoomi Reddy informed the ACB about it. The accused sent their assistant to collect the amount. When Bhoomi Reddy paid Rs.20,000 to the assistant, the waiting ACB officials caught him red-handed and on the basis of information given by him, the Registrar and Assistant Registrar were taken into custody.
