Hyderabad: The TTDLP and BJLP have jointly said that their Telangana MLAs have to extend their support to the NDA presidential candidate Ramnath Kovind irrespective of their political affiliation in the presidential election to be held on July 17.
The TDLP and BJLP leaders and MLAs have convened a joint meeting at the TTDLP office here on Sunday. TTDLP leader A Revanth Reddy and BJLP leader G Kishan Reddy jointly decided to achieve the full support from other political parties MLAs from Telangana to Ramnath Kovind in presidential elections. TDP MLAs A Revanth Reddy, Sandra Venkata Veeraiah, BJP MLAs G Kishan Reddy, K Laxman, NVVS PRabhakar, TDP senior leaders Nama Nageshwara Rao, Mothkupalli Narsimhulu, Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy, Vem Narender Reddy, and others participated in the meeting.
Later speaking to the media, Revanth Reddy said that TDP was extending its full support to Ramnath Kovind. He asked Telangana MLAs irrespective of their political affiliation to give their support to NDA presidential candidate in the presidential elections.
G Kishan Reddy said that they discussed on the measures to be taken in the presidential elections polling. He said that the Ramnath Kovind has all eligibilities to run the nation in developmental path and hence there was a need to extend every MLAs their support to him. He alleged that the Congress party adopted low level political strategies against Ramnath Kovind candidature.
