Third round of talks between India and China underway to de-escalate tension in eastern Ladakh

The third round of talks between India and China are in progress at Moldo- Chushul border post on Chinese side. Our correspondent reports,  Commander level Army officers of India and China are holding discussions to ease the tensions on the border issues of Eastern Ladakh region.

As per the latest information received, the Commander level talks between India and China are in progress. Talks began at 1030 this Morning at Moldo post.  The Indian side Army delegation is led by GoC, Fire and Fury Lt Gen Harinder Singh while the  People’s Liberation Army  is represented by South Xinjiang Military Division’s  Major General Lin Lui .

The commanders are meeting for the second time after the Galwan stand-off on 15 June. On 22nd of June, the two sides arrived at a mutual consensus to disengage from all the friction points along the Line of Actual Control in Eastern Ladakh.

Today, both sides will deliberate on the implementation of the decisions arrived in their first meeting on 6th of June.
