Telangana Tourism department flourishing

Hyderabad, Dec.24 (PMI): After the formation of Telangana State, a lot of changes have come into every sector. The tourist destinations in and around Telangana are being excavated which are very prominent and not been highlighted due to negligence. Since then, the government of Telangana and the department of Tourism have initiated steps to develop all the districts in terms of tourism, infrastructure, culture and so on. 
            As a part of development, the Laknavaram lake is upgraded with another hanging bridge which has become the top attraction and most visited place. Recently the collection of the boating unit at Laknavaram has beaten the records of the water fleet which is Rs: 1, 52, 310/- in a day. The lumbini park boating unit has introduced a floating jetty to entertain the visitors.
            The department has received good revenue from these units apart from the transportation & accommodation. The transport wing has also procured new fleet of buses Volvo and mini A/C coaches to facilitate the tourist. Overall the department is doing excellent in providing the amenities and services to the tourists. The Government of Telangana is supporting Tourism department in beautification of the lake of Shamirpet, the works are nearing to finish and soon will be open for the visitors. There are other lakes in various districts which will be beautified as projects upcoming.
            During the short period of 8 Months, B Manohar who was an employee of TSTDC has taken the full additional charge of Managing Director and has well versed knowledge of the department. During his tenure the department is flourishing towards growth. He has put all the efforts and time to attract the visitors to travel for various aspects like leisure, shopping, adventure, pilgrims, eco tourism, and Historical and so on. (PMI)
