State Has No Direct Power to Take Decisions on TSRTC Affairs: BJP

Hyderabad, Nov.3 (PMI): BJP State spokesperson K Krishna Saagar Rao on Sunday alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was losing his credibility by making false statements on the ongoing TSRTC strike. He said there was no mention of public transportation organizations in the recent Motor Vehicles Amendment Act 2019 made by the Union government. He said the CM was misleading the people by claiming that the Act had empowered the State government to privatize the corporation.
In a statement here today, Rao made it clear that the TSRTC would come under RTC Act of 1950. He said the State government had no direct power to take any decision on the affairs of the corporation. He also made it clear that the State government cannot privatize the RTC without a resolution of its employees and the board. He also alleged that the CM was trying to privatize the Corporation as he was scared of getting a negative judgment in the High Court on November 7. He said the CM was urging the workers to get back to their duties before the verdict of the High Court.
