SCSC ORGANIZED CYBER SECURITY CONCLAVE 5.0 IN ASSOCIATION WITH CYBERABAD POLICE

Hyderabad 23rd Jan (PMI): The Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC) in association with Cyberabad Police has conducted a one day Conclave on “ Cyber Security Conclave 5.0 – the Next Gen Threats and Solutions” on 23.01.2020 at HICC from 9.00 AM to 5.30 PM
SCSC has been organizing the Cyber Security Conclave continuously for the last five years and the participation form the IT & ITES, Police and Public in general is increasing year after year and well appreciated by one and all.
The attending Participants include the Cyber Security Heads, IT Employees, Police Officers from across India, Students, Public in General, etc., The List of Attendees;

The event was started with the Lamp Lighting by the Chief Guest and other Dignitaries followed by welcome note and context setting by Mr. Bharani Kumar Aroll.
Mr. Bharani Kumar Aroll, Vice Chairman SCSC, in his welcome note said that the the Digital transformation happening all across India is changing the way businesses operate efficiently and effectively and also brings risks from cyber threats . He presented the statistics on cyber attacks and also talked about the threat landscape and the promising future of Cyber security . He also said that the people should be aware that any crime related to Cyber Crimes should be reported to CERT. In most of the Cyber Crimes Women are getting effected more which needs to be addressed.
Mr. Krishna Yedula, General Secretary, SCSC has briefed about the miles stone achievements of SCSC and the Impact they have created since its inception in the year 2006. He thanked all the participants who were more than 600 for overwhelming response.
Sri. V C Sajjanar, IPS, Cyberabad Police Commissioner said now a days the complaints on Cyber Crimes are more than the traditional crimes. The complaints are more related to the Social Media, Online Financial offences, Data Theft, etc., the loss due to Cyber Crimes is immense and posing tough challenges to the Police. The kids are getting addicted to smart phones and getting lot of health and psychological issues. To help the people in general affected by the Cyber Crimes Police believes prevention is better than treatment. Hence, we are organising Cyber Crime awareness sessions and trainings regularly to the Police personnel and also it has become very important to create an awareness among the People in general to keep themselves safe and away from getting affected by the Cyber Crimes and Threats. He has appreciated SCSC for organizing the Cyber Security Conclave for the last five years successfully. The Conclave not only helps the Police to know about the latest threats and solutions but also the Public in general. He thanked all the participants – Police Officials, IT Professionals, Govt. Officials, SCSC Traffic Volunteers, SCSC Margadarshaks & Students.
The Guest of Honour : Mr. Rajiv Kumar, MD IDC Microsoft, stated that, Microsoft is always been doing R&D to counter the Cyber attacks and inventing new softwares and solutions to ensure the safety and security for the public and their data.

Chief Guest – Dr. Sanjay Bahl, Director General, CERT -IN addressing the participants said as the current world is moving towards the Automation and digital world the Cyber Crimes and Threats are also increasing and posing challenges in the equal ratio. He presented CERT-IN organization’s priorities that focussed on collecting , analysing and disseminating Cyber threat intelligence to benefit all stake holders who are potentially impacted by these attacks .
In the Conclave there were two different Sessions one exclusively for Police Officers another for IT Professionals and Public from Cyber Security Stream. The Police Track was included with an extensive Presentation and Training.
