RTC JAC softens stand, urges govt to allow crew to resume duties

Hyderabad, Nov.20 (PMI): The TSRTC employees’ unions’ JAC on Wednesday informed the State government that the crew would end the ongoing strike and resume duties if the latter created a conducive atmosphere.
The JAC also urged the State government to send a list of problems being faced by the workers to the State Labour Commissioner and allow him to prepare a report for the submission of the same before the High Court as per its Monday’s order. The JAC released a joint statement after holding a meeting in the wake of the High Court’s recent judgment.
The JAC perused and discussed at length about the High Court judgment. It also requested the government to treat the Corporation as a model employee-friendly organization as per the court’s observations.
JAC convener Ashwathama Reddy, co-conveners Raji Reddy, Lingamurthy and O Sudha took part in the meeting.
