Rs 48 Crore Released for GHMC drinking water needs

Hyderabad : The Government today released Rs 48 crore  for catering to the drinking water needs in GHMC jurisdiction. Revenue Special Chief Secretary and Commissioner Disaster Management BR Meena has issued orders releasing the funds. According to the GO 48, Revenue (Disaster Management) department has said that the HMWWSB has sought the release of the funds for drinking water needs of people beyond GHMC limits and within Outer Ring Road limits. Budget Release Order (BRO) was issued under Summer Action Plan to quench the thirst of the people of the twin cities.

The finance department has issued orders for BRO for an amount of Rs 48 crore as additional funds in relaxation of treasury control and quarterly regulation orders by way of obtaining supplementary grants during the financial year 2017-18 towards meeting the expenditure to implement summer action plan for the same period for improvement of water supply in HMWSSB in Hyderabad
