Hyderabad, Aug.9 (PMI): The Sanathnagar police arrested a rowdy sheeter Ganesh in the wee hours of Friday for preventing them from discharging their duties and also assaulting them while they tried to take him into custody for destroying private property and creating public nuisance.
According to SR Nagar police inspector, Ganesh picked up an argument with a motorist allegedly in an inebriated condition at Sarovar Bar in Balkampet and damaged the wind shield of the car on Thursday night around 11 pm. On receipt of the information, the patrolling team from the police station reached the spot to take him into custody. “While bringing him under control and taking him into custody, Ganesh obstructed our personnel and also assaulted them. However, the accused was caught and brought the situation under control,” he said, adding that two cases were booked against Ganesh and produced him before the court, which remanded him in judicial custody. Ganesh was earlier detained under Preventive Detention Act, the inspector said. (PMI)
