New Delhi, Nov 24: The All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul Muslimeen (AIMIM) President Asaduddin Owaisi on Friday launched a scathing attack on Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) patriarch Mohan Bhagwat for his remark advocating the construction of temple at the site of Ram Janambhoomi- Babri Owaisi had lashed out at Nirmohi Akhada for claiming that there is a back-channel deal to pay Rs 20 crore to the Sunni Waqf Board in Babri Masjid-Ram Janmabhoomi case.
Owaisi asked them to reveal the source of the money and name of the member of the Sunni Waqf board who is indulged in this agreement.
Terming Bhagwat’s statement ‘obnoxious’, Owaisi said the RSS is assuming itself to be the ‘Supreme Court’. “This is a delicate matter and RSS is playing with fire on this issue. I hope SC takes note of this devious design, being laid out by Sangh Parivar,” added Owaisi.
“The Ram temple will be built at the Ram Janmabhoomi and nothing else will be constructed on that land. It will be built using the same stones and under the leadership of people who fought for it for the last 20-25 years,” Bhagwat had said.
