Hyderabad, Aug.20 (PMI ): Commissioner of Police Anjani Kumar has invoked P.D. Act against Syed Khaleeq of Afzalgunj Police Station.
According to police, Syed Khaleeq, 20, a water servicing man at Yakuthpura has been committing theft of cell phones along with his associates by diverting attention of passengers traveling in sharing auto rickshaws under the guise of adjustment of seats in an organized manner in the limits of Hyderabad Police Commissionerate to make easy money.
Police said accused Syed Khaleeq committed 18 offences and has been creating panic among the general public, who wish to travel in sharing auto rickshaws and they were scared to carry cell phones, cash and other valuables, thereby affecting the public order, apart from disturbing the peace, tranquility and social harmony in the society.
The Afzalgunj Police arrested Syed Khaleeq on February 8 this year and remanded him to judicial custody. The Detention Order was executed on him on August 11 , 2018 and lodged him in Central Prison, Chanchalguda. (Press Media of India)
