The incident happened around 12.30 am. A few seconds later, when I tried to restart it, I realised there was a foul smell emanating from somewhere within. Not wanting to take any chances, I immediately stepped out, and within seconds, the vehicle caught fire,” he added.
Following the incident, the security staff at the BWSL reached the spot and closed off traffic in one direction until the situation was brought under control. They also informed the Bandra police and the fire brigade.
