Marri dares CM for open debate on projects

Hyderabad,  Senior Congress leader and former minister Marri Shashi Dhār Reddy today dared Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to come for an open debate on redesigning of the irrigation projects.

Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Friday, Shashidhar Reddy laughed at the Chief Minister’s threats to expose the Congress party during his State-wide tour. The Congress leader warned that the people would revolt against his dictatorial rule. “We would knock the doors of justice if the State government takes wrong decisions”, he said, adding that the Chief Minister has no clarity on which building at Bison Polo Grounds he wants to build a new Secretariat complex.

Pointing out history, Marri said erstwhile Seventh Nizam had constructed the existing Assembly building with the donations from the people, but now KCR wants to construct a new Secretariat and Assembly only to meet his “selfish” ends. He also declared that the Congress would obstruct constructions at Bison Polo Grounds.
